New residence for Armelle Mercat. After directing Keep Your Hair On Olivier in 2017, the director returns to Ciclic Animation for new adventures with the production of her project Wild House-share.
Armelle Mercat studied at the Institut d'Arts visuels d'Orléans which allowed her to study one semester in Baltimore (USA) at the Maryland Institute College of Art, in 2009. She continued her studies at La Poudrière where she directed Mon perchoir in 2011 and then La Pâtarécré in 2012. Director but also animator and colorist, she works on various short films including Beach Flags by Sarah Saïdan. She directed Keep Your Hair On Olivier in 2017, a short film supported by Ciclic Centre-Val de Loire.
Inspired by the African tale «The Goat and the Tiger», Wild House-share is a free interpretation. This comedy tells a tender and naive story.
This film, produced by Girelle Production, received production support. The director, Armelle Mercat, will be in residence from January 4th to July 2nd 2021.
