New stop motion short film: "Family portrait" by Lea Vidaković

Back to the 20th century in an aristocratic family where Lea Vidaković paints a revealing portrait of a family where relationships are strained. 

Graduated in 2007 from the Academy of Arts of Zagreb (Graphic Arts and Painting), Lea Vidaković took part in an exchange with the Czech film school FAMU then followed a course in animation at Volda University College in Norway. She discovered puppet design and animation in 2009 at Glamorgan University in Cardiff. From 2011 to 2020, she obtained a Master in Visual Arts at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent in Belgium and a PHD in Animation at Nanyang Technology University in Singapore.

Family Portrait is a dark, poetic, humorous social observation in which family bonds and relationships are broken down and dissected.

This film, produced by Vivement lundi ! received production support. Director, Lea Vidaković, will be in residence from March 28th 2022 to August 12th 2022.
