Selected at MIFA Pitches in Annecy Festival, Hide by Daniel Gray is at Ciclic Animation for 3 months of residence.
Daniel Gray studied Fine Art at UWIC. After a stint as a represented painter he started experimenting with animation and he studied in the Animation Degree at UWCN. His graduating short film t.o.m.’achieved great success at festivals. As an independent director and writer, He is internationally recognized with multiple awards, as an invited jury member for film festivals, visiting lecturer at universities and to overseeing creative workshops.
Hide is a very personal, metaphorical piece describing a strange feeling of disconnection that exists in the modern world. His animated short film is a journey from innocence that slowly morphs into discomfort and dread. It is a surrealist, sentimental film with elements that could be described as horror.
This project has received a production support for animated shorts. Director, Daniel Gray, will be in residence from January 6th to March 3th 2020.
