"Noon" by Roshanak Roshan : A piece from Tehran to Ciclic Animation

Winner of Ciclic's award at MIFA Pitch Animation du Monde in Annecy in 2018, the director Roshanak Roshan begins her residence at Ciclic Animation until February 1st for her new animated short. 

Born in Iran, Roshanak Roshan spent four years at the University of Fine Arts in Tehran to study theatre. In 1997, she became director of puppet shows. In France she joins the team of the Théâtre d'Ombre of Toulouse in 2006 and she integrates the school of cinema ESAV at the same time. In 2016, Roshanak Roshan realizes Yalda, selected at Annecy Festival. 
Made with bread and its ingredients (flour, seeds...), Noon is an animated short film about the personal life of Shirin, a young Iranian immigrant in France for 10 years who looks for the bond that connects her to Tehran’s bread.

This project is the winner of Ciclic's award at MIFA Pitch Animation du Monde in Annecy in 2018. The director, Roshanak Roshan, will be in residence from January 7th to February 1st 2019.
